Very very welcome Comrade Gauriamma back in CPIM! May we hope Somnath Chatterjee back home also?
After Bengal,BJP has emerged as a strong force in Kerala also where it bagged ten percent votes in 2014 Loksabha polls.
Worser,in the recent by election comrades lagged behind BJP.
If it focused the urgency to get back a leader like Gauriamma,it is very very welcome for Indian Communist movement and we may hope ,comrade general secretary would take care to get all comrades back home who had been expelled!
I have been praising these three comrades Gauri,Brinda and Subhsini Ali in Indian communist movement which did not happen.
Gauriamma,by birth a dalit or backward could well become the chief minister of Kerala which was expected by the Malyali masses.
Though Ex CM Comrade Atchutanandan also belonged to OBC and he had strong rivals in the party supported by then comrade general secretary.
Media reports:Twenty-one years after she was expelled on charges of anti-party activities, veteran communist leader K R Gouriamma would return to the CPI(M). Her rebel party Janathipathya Samrakshana Samithi (JSS) would merge with the CPI(M) on August 19.
CPI(M) state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, who met 96-year-old Gouriamma at her Alappuzha residence on Friday evening, said JSS leaders would be rehabilitated in the CPI(M) after the merger. This would be held on August 19, which is observed as P Krishna Pillai day. (P Krishna Pillai had been one of the founders of the Communist movement in Kerala).
