Gajendra Chauhan is the chairman of the governing council of FTTI.He is only the chairman designate, he is not the director of FTII.The chairman comes to the campus only to attend FTII society and governing council meetings.
Whereas The Director of the Institute serves as its executive head and implements its policies and programmes(presently D J Narain heads the institute) He meets the students on a daily basis and lives on campus.Whenever there arise an issue director is contacted and not the chairman.
So what if Chauhan does not have 'critically acclaimed' body of work/credentials in his kitty.
